Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Bob Swan President, eBay Marketplace Operations, Lorrie Norrington Senior Vice President, U.S. Auctions Business, Philipp Justus Senior Vice President, Europe, Douglas McCallum Managing Director of eBay in the UK, Mark Lewis President and CEO-elect, eBay Inc. On January 23, 2008, eBay's Board of Directors unanimously chose John Donahoe as President and CEO-elect of eBay Inc. He is succeeding Meg Whitman, who will retire on March 31, 2008. In his new role, John has global responsibility for growing each of the company's business units, which include eBay Marketplaces, PayPal and Skype. He also joins eBay's Board of Directors. John came to eBay in February 2005 as President of eBay Marketplaces, responsible for all elements of eBay's global ecommerce businesses. In this role, he focused on expanding the core business, which accounts for a large percentage of the company's revenues. John also oversaw a number of strategic acquisitions, including Shopping.com and StubHub, and classifieds sites, such as Gumtree and LoQUo. During the three years he served as President of Marketplaces, revenues and profits for this division doubled. Prior to eBay, John spent more than 20 years at Bain & Company, a worldwide consulting firm based in Boston. Starting as an Associate Consultant, John rose to become the firm's CEO, where he oversaw Bain's 30 offices and 3,000 employees. John received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Dartmouth College. Bob SwanSenior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, eBay Inc. As senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer at eBay, Bob Swan is responsible for all aspects of eBay's finance function including controllership, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. Prior to joining eBay, Bob was CFO and executive vice president at Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS). With financial responsibility for a global organization with revenues of more than $20 billion and 117,000 employees, Bob oversaw the controllership, treasury, tax, investor relations, audit, planning, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain management and corporate administrative functions for EDS. Prior to EDS, Swan served as CFO and executive vice president at TRW, Inc. Bob also held executive-level positions at Webvan Group, Inc., providing him with valuable Silicon Valley experience. He began his career with General Electric (GE) in 1985 and spent 15 years in a variety of positions, including corporate audit staff and CFO at GE Transportation Systems and GE Medical Systems-Europe. He left GE in 1999 as vice president of finance and CFO of GE Lighting. Bob received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from The State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo. He also received a Master of Business Administration from SUNY Binghamton. Lorrie NorringtonPresident, eBay Marketplace Operations As President of eBay Marketplace Operations, Lorrie Norrington is responsible for delivering operational excellence across all of eBay's global network of sites. Previously, Lorrie was President of eBay International, overseeing the strategic and financial planning, marketing, operations, product development and business development for eBay's international businesses. This includes eBay's network of sites in Europe and Asia Pacific, as well as eBay's Classifieds businesses. Prior to eBay International, Lorrie was president and CEO of Shopping.com, eBay's online comparison shopping business. She joined Shopping.com in June 2005 after spending four years at Intuit Inc. At Intuit, Lorrie first served as Intuit's Executive Vice President of small businesses and personal finance, where she led the company's QuickBooks, Small Business Services, Payroll, and Quicken brands. She then was a member of the office of the CEO, responsible for operations, verticals and all non-US businesses. Before joining Intuit, Lorrie spent 20 years at GE in a variety of global roles in the information services, medical systems, industrial systems and financial services businesses. Most recently Lorrie served as President and CEO of GE FANUC, a global manufacturing automation solutions business. Lorrie holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Maryland and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She is on the Advisory Board of the Catalyst Group. Philipp Justus Senior Vice President, U.S. Auctions Business As Senior Vice President of eBay's Auctions Business Philip Justus is responsible for providing a holistic vision for eBay's core auction experience as he spearheads a cross-functional team that provides insight for both buyer and seller practices on the site. In his role he champions an enhanced user experience for the 104 million registered U.S. eBay members who regulary buy and sell on eBay.com, while supporting the goals of growth for the U.S. marketplace. Prior to joining the U.S. marketplace, Justus was senior vice president and general manager of eBay Europe and was responsible for the strategic direction and successful expansion of the eBay marketplaces in one of eBay Inc.'s most important business regions. Justus concentrated on increasing supply and demand in key growth categories and ensuring the site remained a safe place for the European marketplace that included at that time a presence in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Before his move to eBay's European headquarters in Bern, Switzerland, Justus, who joined eBay in 2000, was managing director and head of eBay Germany. Under his leadership, eBay became the most successful online marketplace in Germany and is currently the largest international eBay marketplace outside the United States. Between 1996 and 2000, Justus was a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Munich. At BCG, his main focus was on strategy development for fast-moving consumer goods companies. He also acted as recruiting director, responsible for hiring new consultants into several of BCG's German offices. Justus graduated from the Koblenz School of Corporate Management (WHU), Germany in 1994 with a Diplomkaufmann degree in Business Economics and subsequently achieved a Masters of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1996. Between 1990 and 1996, he was a Scholar of the German National Academic Foundation. The Forum of Young Global Leaders, an affiliate of the World Economic Forum, named Justus a Young Global Leader in 2006. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Swiss-American Chamber of Commerce. Douglas McCallum Senior Vice President, Europe Doug McCallum was appointed Senior Vice President, Europe in January 2008. Prior to that he was for 6 years Managing Director of eBay UK Ltd. leading a team which helped grow the UK business from 0.35 million British users to over 20 million. Doug has a passion for the people of business - customers, eBay company team members, Community members as well as shareholders. He is on a mission to lead changes in business which make meaningful positive differences for those people. Doug began his career as a strategy consultant with Monitor Company, moving early on into operations and general management as the MD of a computer startup. After studying for a business degree in the US, Doug returned to London and became one of the pioneers of the UK internet industry founding, in 1995, the online consumer division of Capital Radio plc and later PretNet, the business-to-business division of Pret A Manger. Doug also founded or served as a director of a number of other British internet companies. Doug is a keen amateur tennis player and an enthusiastic singer. He jokes that he hopes eventually to retire on the proceeds of selling on eBay his most prized collectable: a still-functioning first production model of the Newton Personal Digital Assistant, great-grandfather of the iphone, a trophy given to him by Apple Computer Company New Technologies team in Cupertino for his work on the product's launch while a graduate student in 1993. Mark Lewis Managing Director of eBay in the UK Mark was appointed as Managing Director of eBay in the UK in January 2008. He's been working with eBay in the UK since 2004, leading teams that look after buyer and seller experience, customer and PowerSeller support, and eBay for Charity. Mark has been an eBay member since 2001 and loves trading on the site. He mainly sells old music, forgotten toys and regretted purchases. Before joining eBay, Mark worked in the retail and consumer practice at the Boston Consulting Group, spent seven years running advertising campaigns for a range of products and ran restaurants in France and Australia. He has a Mathematics degree, and an MBA from INSEAD.
