By spending some time upfront looking at the similar items already listed on eBay, you'll be better positioned to:
- Set a competitive price for your items
- Select a selling and listing format that is more likely to convert (auction, auction with Buy It Now, fixed price, lot or multiple item) for your chosen categories
- See what questions buyers are asking about the item, so you can include this in your listing description
- Set reasonable postage & packing charges or discounts where appropriate
