eBay offers a range of listing formats and tools to help high-volume sellers and businesses efficiently create and manage their listings and inventory. To get the best of your As a business seller you should consider the following:

Your selling format
Auction-style format - enable buyers bid on your item
Auction with Buy It Now
Buy It Now - sell your item at a fixed price
Auction-style format with Buy It Now - enable buyers to bid or purchase your item at a fixed price without bidding

Your listing format
Wholesale and Lots - a single listing comprising mixed, similar or identical items sold together
Multiple Items - a listing comprising mixed, similar or identical items sold separately

Selling Format Fee
Auction Select 1-10 day listing duration. Buyers bid on your item Insertion fee and Final Value fee.
Auction + Buy It Now Select 1-10 day listing duration with a fixed price option Insertion fee and Final Value fee.
Buy It Now Sell at a fixed price. No bidding. Insertion fee and Final Value fee.

Listing Format Fee
Single items List items one by one, usually with the Sell Your Item form Applicable fees for selling format chosen.
Multiple item Sell multiple identical items individually in one listing Applicable fees for selling format chosen.
Lots Sell mixed, similar or identical items all together in one listing Applicable fees for selling format chosen.

Tip: Multiple and duplicate listings limit
  • There is a limit to the number of identical or duplicate listings permitted on eBay. Sellers listing more than 10 identical items are in breach of eBay's Multi Listing Policy.
You can also display your eBay listings on your own website with:
  • Editor Kit - part of the eBay Affiliates programme. Display up to 200 of your live eBay listings on your own website.
Tip: Adding pictures to your listings
  • The eBay system can retrieve images saved on your PC desktop. For optimal performance you can subscribe to eBay Picture Services (charges associated), which enables you to store and manipulate images within your eBay account. If you have HTML knowledge, you can also link to images stored on your personal Internet service provider's web space.
