When you list an item, you can now provide Postage costs such as Postage & handling so that buyers can pay you immediately once a listing ends.

If you choose to enable Checkout for your listing, Checkout will automatically calculate the total for your buyer using the Postage costs you entered. Checkout is a FREE service from eBay and is completely optional for both buyers and sellers. See the Seller Checkout Tutorial for more information.

Postage Costs

Specify Details Specifying Postage Costs when you list helps buyers pay after the auction closes. This information will appear in the Payment Details section of your Listing.

If you choose to enable Checkout for your listing, Checkout will automatically calculate the total for your buyer using the Postage costs you entered.

1. Postage & Handling - If you have a fixed fee for Postage, enter it in the Postage & Handling field. If you are listing a multiple-item listing, provide Postage costs for each additional item for buyers that want to buy more than one item from you. Please be sure to specify the method(s) you will use to send the item to the buyer in the Payment Instructions field.

If you do not know the Postage costs or have more complicated Postage policies, you can use the Payment Instructions field to explain your Postage policies to buyers.

2. Postage Insurance - You can choose if insurance is required, optional, or not offered for your item. If it is required or optional, make sure you specify the amount to be charged for each item. If you do not want to offer insurance, make sure you select "Not offered."

Please note the Postage costs you enter will only apply to items posted within or to United Kingdom.
