1. Overall Purpose of Role:
- Provide operational & analytical support to the direct marketing team. Responsible for co-ordinating & executing direct marketing campaigns and providing accurate reporting, strategic analysis and insight into these campaigns, in order to support strategic decision-making and enhance user activation and retention.
2. Core Responsibilities:
- Campaign Management
Work with internal teams to identify campaign design and deliver direct mail campaigns. Co-ordinating the segmentation, content and launch of campaigns from resource allocation, planning & execution, through to robust reporting & analysis.
- Internal Collaboration
Liaising with other areas of the business to gain relevant information to support the direct marketing team.
- Marketing Optimisation
Managing the competing demands of eBay's business areas for marketing space in order to achieve optimisation of all direct marketing campaigns.
- Reporting & Strategic Analysis
Regular reporting and ongoing analysis of the effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns, identifying commercially sensitive insight and presenting recommendations to the direct marketing team to inform future planning
- Teamwork
Provide daily hands-on support to the marketing team in order for the department to meet its objectives.
3. Experience, Qualifications & Personal Characteristics required:
- 1-2 years experience in a graduate training scheme, marketing agency environment or strategic consulting
- Excellent organisational, planning & time management skills
- Excellent PC literacy/knowledge of HTML & Photoshop a plus
- Outstanding analytical skills with track record in providing detailed insight and recommendations supported by first class strategic analysis
- Demonstrable track record of taking the initiative and of effective issue management
- Record of high academic achievement with good degree
- Superior communication skills - verbal and written
- Ability to build relationships internally and externally, interfacing at all levels
- Thrives in an environment of change and ambiguity
- Hands-on, team player who works well under pressure
