eBay buyers get chance to bag Sony Playstation Portables for Christmas

The Sony Playstation Portable (or Sony PSP) has taken eBay.co.uk, the nation's online marketplace, by storm. The new handheld games console is already selling on www.eBay.co.uk, despite not being available in the UK until March 2005.
Enterprising eBay sellers are offering the must-have kit in the UK in time for Christmas - having secured pre-release PSPs from Japan. Those who can't wait to get their hands on a PSP can buy the item now, generally for around £200.
An eBay.co.uk spokesperson said: "This shows the power of eBay as a global marketplace. You can buy more or less anything on the site - including items that are selling out on the high street. With slimline PS2s flying off the site, battles breaking out for Robosapiens and now PSPs available months ahead of their UK launch, eBay.co.uk has become the site to shop on this Christmas."
