CULT TRIBUTE CARS BURN RUBBER ON
October 2004

Delorean time machine, Dukes of Hazzard Sheriff’s car and Starsky and Hutch Ford Gran Torino at eBaymotors.co.uk

If you’re a child of the ‘70s or ‘80s here’s your chance to drive-off into the sunset in one of your ultimate dream cars. Three outstanding, rare and highly detailed tribute cars have just roared onto eBaymotors.co.uk and you can almost hear the screech of tyres as another classic TV car chase unfolds.

Back to the Future Delorean
Film fans looking to go ‘back to the future’ should check-out the 1981 Delorean ‘time machine’ featured at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18301&item=2494365974&rd=1.

This silver coupe is packed with so many gadgets that its new owner will probably end up believing in time travel. Apparently Flux Capacitors, Time Circuits and Plutonium Gauges are fitted as standard.

The sleek 2.8 litre coupe, made famous by Michael J. Fox, features the highly distinctive Delorean gull wing doors and has just 43,000 miles on the clock. Not surprisingly the car was specially designed and kitted out by Hollywood professionals and has been used extensively by TV companies, as well as making frequent publicity appearances.

Starsky and Hutch Torino
Ever fancied patrolling LA’s meanest back allies or getting the ‘word on the street’ from Huggy Bear? Well here’s your best chance to chase the bad guys in style; just like Starsky and Hutch.

The 1974 Ford Gran Torino on eBaymotors.co.uk is almost a perfect example of the original car featured in the much loved TV series, the classic red and white paint job is a factory original (rather than a recent addition), and the two door automatic saloon has recently benefited from a comprehensive restoration. Find it at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18308&item=2494374514&rd=1.

Just like the Delorean, this Ford Gran Torino has earned its living from publicity and TV work and the owners have invested heavily in some small but important details. Look out for the rally-style steering wheel, authentic tyres and a heavily customised engine under the bonnet.

Hazzard County Sheriff
The utterly clueless Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane never managed to catch those pesky Duke boys or the General Lee; but you might stand a better chance with a wonderful Dukes of Hazzard-inspired police patrol car.

The current owner has had heaps of fun with this 1975 Dodge Coronet and judging by the detailing they probably watched every episode. It features correct ‘Hazzard County’ decals, a working police siren, authentic Goodridge tyres and even ‘out of service’ lenses for the light bar.

The Dodge has only 54,000 miles on the clock, the MOT is good until September 2005 and it’s going to be a real talking point with a new Dukes of Hazzard movie just round the corner. You can bid at
