BECKS’ BMW HITS £90,000 ON eBay

A great car, but over £90,000 for a 1996 BMW M3 with over 70,000 miles on the clock, does seem a little excessive. But then, the registration number provides a clue. P10 DRB – Player 10 David Robert Beckham.
The BMW M3 Evolution convertible owned by David Beckham in 1996 went under the hammer on eBaymotors.co.uk over Christmas and sold on New Year’s eve for £90,100. Bidding started at just £1 with no reserve. There doesn’t seem to be any doubt about the car’s provenance. In 1996, Becks played in the number 10 shirt at Manchester United. The original documents and service history supplied with the car show David’s name, and it can also be seen photographed in Victoria Beckham’s book, Victoria’s Secrets. The blue car with cream leather interior was sold by TLC Logistics, Devon.
