Listing your items for sale |
1. Enter your User ID and password
2. Chose a main category
3. Select the sub-category that best fits the merchandise you're listing.
4. Provide a title for the items you're selling. |
| Tip: Be clear and descriptive. Adding some pertinent information in the title can also be helpful, like new, used, or no reserve. |
5. Write your description.
Tip: Remember to make this as detailed as possible. Optional: for more impact, present it in HTML format - it helps to space paragraphs out and gives more flexibility in layouts. |
6. Add a photo of your item using iPIX's Picture Services on eBay. |
| Tip: This will need to be a digital photo that will be uploaded from your PC. Most people want to see a photo of what they're buying, and adding a photo will help your item sell.
|
7. Select special features to enhance your listing and make your item stand-out.
There are nominal fees associated with these extra features, but it's been proven that sales are higher when sellers use these visibility techniques. |
8. List the payment methods you'll accept.
It's always a good idea to restate and fully explain your payment and postage terms in your item description. Your payment choices will also be noted at the tip of your listing. |
9. Determine the postage terms.
Tip: eBay has a large international audience, so you may want to consider selling your items beyond the United Kingdom. |
From here, click Continue and preview your item listing. If all your selections and information that you typed in looks correct, click the Submit button, and your item will start right away! |
