David Hyde (eBay ID: elite-sporting-memorabilia-ltd) decided to start using eBay for Charity to sell his collector items and raise money for his favourite charity Cancer Research UK. The fun of auction-style listings and the efficiency of eBay for Charity have allowed David to continually donate to charity in a way he really enjoys. So far he has raised thousands for his favourite cause, and is now a top seller.
A New Way to Give
The aim for David was to have fun and at the same time do something good for charity. eBay for Charity has allowed David to bring together his hobby of collecting and selling items with the fun of auction-style listings and his desire in giving to charity. Donating 10-20% of all sold items to his cause allows David to give in a new and enjoyable way.
Making a Real Impact
The programme allows David to generate steady income for charity. By continually giving up to 20% in every sale he is donating regularly to his chosen charity, whilst at the same time generating enough money to allow him to buy more collectable items to list on eBay and sell for charity again.
Using the eBay market place means that David can sell his collectable items to people all over the globe. "I really enjoy it and get great satisfaction out of buying and selling for charity.
