 2004 Pricing Changes

On January 5th 2004 we announced that we would be making changes to the fees for eBay.co.uk as of January 20th 2004. We have raised some fees, reduced others, while keeping some the same. In addition, we have changed some fees relating specifically to eBay Motors and eBay Selling Tools.

Reserve Price Fees
Reserve Price fees across the site (excluding Motors and Real Estate) will be restructured from January 20th 2004.

Reserve Prices for Listings confirmed prior to January 20th 2004

£0.01 - £14.99 £0.40
£15.00 - £99.99 £0.75
£100.00 + 1% of the Reserve

Reserve Prices for Listings confirmed after January 20th 2004
Reserve Price Reserve Price Fee
(inc VAT at 17.5%)
£0.01 - £49.99 £1
£50.00 - £4999.99 2% of Reserve Price
£5,000.00 and up £100

Real Estate Reserve Price Fees
The current Reserve Price Fees structure for Real Estate will be replaced by a flat fee of £2 (inc VAT at 17.5%).

Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro
The monthly subscription fees for Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro will be reduced with effect from 20th January 2004.

Selling Manager £3.99 Free
Selling Manager Pro £6.99 £4.99

eBay Motors Final Value Fees
As of January 20th 2004 the Final Value Fees in the Motors categories will be changed from a flat fixed fee to a scale based on the Final Value of the Item.

The new Motors Final Value Fees will be:

(inc VAT at 17.5%)
£0.01 - £2,999.99 £18 £15
£3,000 - £5,999.99 £18 0.5% of the Final Value
£6000.00 + £18 £30

eBay Motors Reserve Prices
From January 20th 2004 Reserve Price Fee for items in the Motors categories will be increased from £2 to £3 inclusive of VAT at 17.5%.

These new fees will come into effect at 00:00:01 GMT 20th January 2004. Items that are scheduled to begin on the eBay.co.uk site after that time will be charged based on the new fees described above.
