Terms and Conditions

This coupon (“Coupon”) of the quoted value of your trade-in device is provided and issued to you under the Trade-in Programme, and is subject to the Terms and Conditions set out below. You acknowledge that the Coupon is subject to you sending your trade-in device to eBay’s third-party trade-in vendor for inspection, and such device corresponding with the information you provide in the questionnaire.

Once you have redeemed the Coupon, you will not be eligible to trade-in for another coupon under the Trade-in Programme for a period of at least six (6) calendar months. A maximum of two (2) coupons for trade-in will be issued per eBay user per calendar year under the Trade-in Programme.

 

How to redeem your coupon 

  • Purchase an eligible item from eBay.co.uk. You can pay using PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card, or debit card. 

  • When paying, apply the coupon code that was provided to you as part of the valuation of your trade-in device at check out.

  • You must complete the purchase within 48 hours of receiving the Coupon. Coupons not redeemed in this timeframe will expire.

Who can claim the coupon?

  • Only registered eBay users who have received a coupon code as part of the Trade-in Programme.

  • The Coupon cannot be transferred to another eBay user account.

Bonus coupon value:

From time-to-time eBay may run special promotions as part of the Trade-in Programme where you are eligible to receive a coupon inclusive of a bonus value (i.e. in addition to the quoted value for your trade-in device) under the Trade-in Programme. Such coupons issued as part of these special promotions are subject to certain conditions which will be communicated to you accordingly, and these Terms and Conditions.

 

Coupon Terms and Conditions:

  1. This offer is open to users registered on eBay.co.uk with a UK address and 18 years of age or older.

  2. The Coupon is only valid for a purchase made on eBay.co.uk to a UK shipping address.

  3. The Coupon is valid only when you pay with PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, credit card, or debit card. 

  4. The Coupon must be redeemed within 48 hours of receiving the coupon code. Coupons not redeemed in this timeframe will expire.

  5. The Coupon must be used in a single transaction. If the Coupon is only partially redeemed, the remaining Coupon value will be forfeited.

  6. The Coupon only applies to the item price. For the avoidance of doubt, it does not apply to any other costs including related postage and packing costs or any taxes. 

  7. If you cancel the purchase of the item or return the item, the Coupon cannot be reused.

  8. Any refund you may be entitled to for the item(s) purchased using the Coupon will not include the Coupon or its redemption value. You will receive no more than the amount you paid towards your purchase price and a new coupon of the same value of the Coupon will be issued.

  9. In the event where any bonus coupon value was granted to you as part of a special promotion, such bonus coupon value will not be granted when you are issued a new coupon under clause 8. Accordingly, the new coupon will be of the value of the Coupon that is attributable to the quoted amount for your trade-in device.

  10. The "Property", "Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles" and "Coins, Banknotes & Bullion" categories are always excluded. 

  11. The purchase you make to redeem the Coupon must comply with eBay's User Agreement and policies. 

  12. Unless otherwise specified, the Coupon cannot be combined with any other coupon, site discount, rebate, offer, gift coupon or other promotion.

  13. The Coupon has no cash value, cannot be transferred, cannot be forwarded, and cannot be exchanged. 

  14. The Coupon is void where prohibited. 

  15. Any attempt to manipulate the offer and/or the Trade-in Programme is prohibited and may result in you being excluded from redeeming the offer and/or participating in the Trade-in Programme.

  16. eBay makes no representations or warranties of any kind regarding any product or service provided by any third party in connection with any coupon and/or the Trade-in Programme. 

  17. eBay will not be responsible for any third party's performance or failure to perform any services related to any coupon and/or Trade-in Programme, or for any costs, damages, accident, delay, injury, loss, expense, or inconvenience that may arise in connection with the use of the Coupon, provided that nothing shall limit eBay's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence. 

  18. eBay reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel this offer and/or the Trade-in Programme at any time, in the event of circumstances arising which in eBay's opinion make it necessary for it to do so. eBay reserves the right to add additional terms and conditions. 

  19. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales. 

  20. eBay (UK) Limited ("eBay") is the organiser of the promotion. eBay may carry out this organisation through its local subsidiaries.
