To get the very best price for your vehicle print-out and follow these simple steps -

  • A picture says a thousand words. Several good quality images are essential to sell your vehicle on eBay.
Click here for more help with pictures.

  • If you are selling in the Auction-style format, set start prices low and use reserves sparingly. Let the market decide the final price.

  • Write a complete and honest description, you'll encourage bidders and receive fewer questions.

  • Consider offering inspections & test drives during the auction.

  • Mention that you have V5 Registration Document, MoT Certificate, and Service History. Bidders will want to know about these documents.

  • Make sure you answer any email questions quickly.

  • Explain your payment terms and collection or delivery options. Without these details bidders will be deterred.

  • Even if your Auction-style listing ends without sales, you can make a Second Chance Offer to any bidder to close the deal. Or, if you used another format or prefer not to make a Second Chance Offer, you can always relist the vehicle for free in the Auction-style format (your listing fee is refunded if the vehicle is sold second time round), or with 50% off the insertion fee as a Classified Ad.

And it costs from just £6 to list a vehicle (further fees apply if an Auction-style listing results in a sale).
