The eBay Rewards Programme works like this*: Each month you will receive an invoice from eBay letting you know how much you have spent in fees and subscriptions. To register for the programme, you must have received and paid an invoice from eBay for a minimum of £150 (excluding VAT) at least once during the 12 months before you register for the programme. Once you have registered, every time you receive and pay an invoice from eBay for an amount that exceeds your current highest invoice amount (known as your "Base High Watermark") you will earn a reward that is 25% of the difference between your Base High Watermark and the "New High Watermark". If the amount you earn is at least £10, we will send you a reward via a PayPal coupon. As part of the eBay Rewards programme, we are also pleased to introduce the new PayPal Percentage Rule. In addition to being able to benefit from the eBay Rewards programme, the new PayPal Percentage Rule is another way for you to earn rewards. In fact, the PayPal Percentage Rule allows you to earn as you earn! So, if you increase the funds you receive through PayPal whilst still maintaining your monthly sales on eBay, you could be eligible to earn a reward under the new PayPal Percentage Rule *. *Terms and Conditions apply What should I do next?
Take a look at the information below and then register for the eBay Rewards Programme - it's as simple as that! Once you have registered for the eBay Rewards Programme, you can then find out if you are also eligible to participate in the PayPal Percentage Rule and earn even more rewards!
How will I receive my reward?
You will receive your reward via a PayPal coupon by email in a set denomination of either £10, £25, £50, £100, £150, £200, £250, £300, £350, £400, £450 and £500. To receive a reward, you must have earned a minimum amount of £10 through the eBay Rewards Programme and the PayPal Percentage Rule (if applicable to you). If the total amount you have earned is greater than the closest lower coupon denomination of £500, the excess (over £500) will be carried over and added to the amounts you earn the following quarter. You will receive one reward coupon up to a maximum of £500 per calendar quarter which is made up of the total reward you have earned through the eBay Rewards Programme as well as the PayPal Percentage Rule (if applicable to you).

What counts towards my invoice?
All your eBay selling fees and any subscriptions to any services you have will count towards your invoice.

Can you tell me more about the new PayPal Percentage Reward Rule?
To be eligible for the new PayPal Percentage Rule, you must have successfully registered for the eBay Rewards programme and you must have sold a "Qualifying Sales Amount" of over £10,000 worth of items on eBay.co.uk (excluding any shipping charges, refunds, chargebacks and reversals) for at least for three months prior to or after registering for the eBay Rewards Programme.
Once you have registered for the eBay Rewards programme, log in to the eBay Rewards console to find out the average of your monthly sales for the three months before you register for the eBay Rewards programme excluding any shipping charges, refunds, chargebacks and reversals i.e. your "Monthly Sales Figure". You will in addition be able to see from the console that a percentage of your Monthly Sales will have been paid for by using PayPal as the payment mechanism. The percentage of your Monthly Sales paid for by using PayPal as the payment mechanism shall be known as your "PayPal Sales Percentage Figure."
To be eligible for a reward under the PayPal Percentage Rule, you need to exceed your highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure whilst maintaining your Monthly Sales Figure.
What is the reward that I will be eligible for under the PayPal Percentage Rule?
The reward you will be eligible for is coupon for 2.5% of the difference between your previous highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure and your new highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure multiplied by your Monthly Sales Figure.
See our example below for more details:
John is eligible for the PayPal Percentage Rule. He has a Monthly Sales Figure of £13,200 for the months of February, March and April 2007, and his current highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure is 55%. Throughout May John accepts PayPal and in June when he returns to the console to check his progress, John is informed that his new highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure is 60%. In May because John has (a) maintained his Monthly Sales Figure at £13,200, and (b) exceeded his previous highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure of 55% by 5 percentage points, he will be eligible for a reward of £16.50 or 2.5% of the difference between his previous highest PayPal Sales Percentage Figure and his new PayPal Sales Percentage Figure (i.e. 5% multiplied by his Monthly Sales Figure of £13,200).
