Your Payment Due Date

Depending on when you created your seller's account, your invoice date is either the 15th of the month or the last day of the month. You'll receive your invoice by email within five days of the invoice date. It is not possible to change your invoice due date. The date you receive your invoice determines your payment due date and your automatic payment schedule.

eBay billing cycles

The following are the two billing cycles.

Billing Cycle Date

When will I receive my invoice?

15th of the month

Between the 16th and 20th of the month

Last day of the month

Between the 1st and 5th of the month

Your invoice date is located by going to your account status, clicking the "Show Details" link, and looking for the day of the month in the Billing cycle column.

Payment due date

Your invoice will include your previous month's account activity as well as any past due amounts. Your full payment is due by the next invoice date. For example, if you receive an invoice on 20th May, your payment is due by June 15th.

Important: You do not need to make a payment if you have an automatic payment method on file. To find out if you have an automatic payment method on file already, or if you need to make a one time payment, look at the Payment section of your invoice.

Your payment will be automatically processed and your payment due date met if you:

  • Have a valid credit card on file.

  • Are signed up for PayPal automatic payments.

  • Are signed up for eBay Direct Pay payments.

If you do not have any of these payment options on your account, you will need to make a payment by the next invoice date. This will keep your account current. Learn more about how to make a one time payment or add an automatic payment method to your account.

eBay automatic payment schedule

You can have eBay automatically deduct your selling fees from your PayPal account, your bank account, or charge these fees to a credit card. The timing of this charge varies, depending on your invoice date and your selected payment method (see Selecting, Changing or Removing an Automatic Payment).

Note: Sellers on eBay.ie can currently only use PayPal, not a credit card or bank account, for automatic seller fee payments.

Invoice Date

When will my credit card be charged?

When will my PayPal account be debited?

When will my checking account be debited?

15th of the month

Between 23rd and 28th

Between the 29th and 2nd

Between the 4th and 9th

Last day of the month

Between 8th and 13th

Between the 14th and 17th

Between the 20th and 23rd

Note: In the event your seller's account is suspended for any reason, any amount due on your account will immediately become due and payable. eBay reserves the right to immediately charge any amount you have not previously disputed to the payment method that you are using.

Payment requirements

  • eBay requires payment in full each month on accounts with an amount due of £1.00 or more.

  • If your account becomes overdue, your account may be suspended for non-payment, and you may be responsible for collection costs.

  • For accounts over 180 days overdue, action may include deducting the amount owed from your PayPal account balance.
