Becoming Verified on PayPal

Being verified means you’ve confirmed your identity with PayPal. Because verification increases security on PayPal, once you’re verified you can:

  • Raise your sending and withdrawal limits

  • Increase credibility with sellers and buyers

  • List items in other markets

Here's how to get PayPal Verified:

  • Log in to your PayPal account

  • Click on the 'Get Verified' link under the heading 'Activate Account'

  • Enter your bank details and review the PayPal Direct Debit agreement

  • PayPal will then deposit two small amounts into your bank account within five working days, which you should note

  • Log in to your PayPal account and tell PayPal what these two amounts are
