eBay requires payment in full each month on accounts with balances of £1.00 or greater. If your account has been suspended because your payment is overdue, please make a one-time payment to bring your account up to date.

Your account should be automatically reinstated after you make a one-time payment. If your account is still on hold or suspended even though your payment has had time to clear, please contact us to find out if you need to take further action.

Note: You may be responsible for collection costs if you are suspended for non-payment.

Beware of fake suspension notices

Some spoof emails state that you owe eBay fees, and/or that your account has been or will be suspended. Spoof or "phishing" emails claim to be sent by eBay or PayPal, but are actually an attempt to gain access to your personal information. Often spoof emails ask you to sign in or submit personal information by clicking on a link, which takes you to a fake website. Learn how to recognise spoof mails.

If you've been suspended, you'll see an alert every time you sign in to My eBay. Your activity on the eBay website will be severely limited. Your suspension notice will also appear in My Messages. If you're unsure about an email you've received, please report it to us.

Note: If your account has been suspended for any reason other than non-payment of your seller account, you must follow the reinstatement instructions in the suspension notice we sent you to get your account reinstated. Check the suspension notice in My Messages. If there were no instructions, or you didn't receive a suspension email, please ask us how to appeal against the suspension.
