Communicating with Skype

Skype, an eBay company, is an easy way for members to communicate. With Skype you can talk to anyone, anywhere for free. Skype is a simple bit of software that you download and install on your computer.

Chat or call from your computer over the Internet using Skype by downloading the software and creating a Skype name. If you're going to call others from your computer, you'll need a headset and a microphone. Learn more about Skype.

Skype for buyers: Skype is a convenient method for asking sellers questions. If you don’t have Skype, get it now for free. After Skype is installed, click the Chat or Call button on the listing to contact the seller. Make sure to have the item title and number ready, so you can give that information to the seller when you ask your question.

Skype for sellers: When you add Skype buttons to your listings, your buyers can contact you quickly with last minute questions. As your listing ends, you can respond instantly to questions.

If you don’t have Skype, download it now. After you create a Skype name, you can link your Skype account to your eBay account, and then add Skype to your listings. Also, you can edit your Skype preferences in My eBay Preferences.
