eBay for Charity Information for Buyers

When you buy an item that is part of the eBay for Charity programme, you are helping a worthy cause. All eBay for Charity listings donate some, or all, of their final selling price to the charity indicated in the item description.

Identify eBay for Charity listings
  • All eBay for Charity items will be marked with a distinctive blue and yellow ribbon, both in search results and in the item title bar
  • All eBay for Charity item description pages have the benefiting charity's logo and mission, as well as the percentage of the final selling price the seller will donate
  • You can search for eBay for Charity items through Advanced Search and customised search options, or on the dedicated eBay for Charity hub page

All sellers in the eBay for Charity programme have signed a user agreement with MissionFish, the dedicated non-profit solution provider for eBay for Charity. This agreement allows MissionFish to automatically collect the donation from the seller and distribute it to the recipient charity, guaranteeing that the pledged amount will reach the recipient charity organisation. If the seller has made a Gift Aid declaration, which means that for every pound he donates the Inland Revenue will donate an additional 28p, MissionFish will also claim the relevant Gift Aid and pass that on to the charity.
