Contacting your seller

If you need to get in touch with your seller, follow these steps.

Getting the seller's contact information

You can use the Ask a question link in the listing to contact your seller.

  1. Click Ask a question.

  2. On the Find Answers page, choose the topic that best fits your question, and look for your question in any Q&A that appears.

  3. If you can't find your question, under Did you find your answer?, select No, I want to contact the seller and click Continue.

  4. On the Contact Seller page, type your question in the space provided. Depending on the topic you selected in Step 2, you may be asked for additional information related to your question.

  5. Enter the verification code for security purposes and click Send.

Note: Not all sellers accept questions before you buy an item, but all sellers will accept questions after you've bought an item.

To find the listing:
  1. Click My eBay at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. Click Won in the left column.

  3. Click the listing.

If you've tried contacting the seller by email but haven't received a response, you can request the seller's phone number and call them.

To request your seller's contact information:
  1. Click Advanced search at the top of most pages.

  2. In the Members section on the left side of the page, click Find contact information.

  3. Enter the seller's user ID and item number.

  4. Click Search.

Keeping your contact information current

Make sure we always have your current contact information on file, so sellers can get in touch with you after you win or commit to buy an item. If your details aren't up-to-date, the seller might be trying to contact you using inaccurate contact information, or could post your item to the wrong address.
