What we do
What we don’t do
Our goal is to provide a safe marketplace for our community. If you ever have a transaction issue on eBay, we can help with problem resolution guidance and tools, buyer protection, and services to help protect you against fraud.
Since it's usually best for members to resolve issues directly, we provide guidelines for requesting contact information and communicating with your trading partner .
If direct communication isn't possible, our Resolution Centre helps you start and track a case to resolve the problem with your trading partner. If you paid with PayPal, you'll use PayPal's Resolution Center.
When you pay with PayPal on eBay, you're backed by PayPal's Buyer Protection.
When suspicious activity is reported, our Trust and Safety team investigates the situation. If members violate an eBay policy, we warn them and may restrict or suspend their account.
We cooperate with all law enforcement investigations.
Law enforcement agencies can report information to eBay using a web form designed for law enforcement only. If you're not in law enforcement, open a case in our Resolution Centre.
We can’t take action on a member's behalf. For example, we don't contact a member directly to ask about the status of an item.
We can't force a member to complete his or her obligation.
If you're looking for more help or have a question to ask, contact us.
