Member behaviour policies

One of the foundations of the eBay experience is the level of trust between all members of the eBay community. To maintain that trust, we expect all members to treat each other with respect.

Our policies around member behaviour are in place to protect everyone in our community, and ensure that buying and selling on eBay is an enjoyable experience for all. For more details, please see the individual policy guidelines below.


Threats and offensive language policy

We have zero tolerance for members using language that we consider to be defamatory or abusive.

Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
