Once you have found an item that interests you, it is important that you read the description carefully to ensure it is exactly what you want. Important things to consider are:
A. Starting bid & current bid; this will help you to decide how much you are willing to pay
B. Buy It Now price if available, if you want to buy it without bidding
C. The Item Description: How has the item been described and what condition is it in. Read this thoroughly to ensure you know what you are getting
D. Item location & Postage costs; If you want to bid on an item that it located outside of the UK, make sure that the seller is willing to ship internationally and at what cost.
E. The Sellers Payment Options: make sure the seller is offering an option you are comfortable with. Most buyers prefer PayPal an eBay company. With PayPal you can pay for items using your debit card, credit card or bank account and your financial details are never shared with the Seller.
F. The Sellers Feedback Rating: This is the number in brackets next to their User ID. At a glance you can see the percentage of positive feedback the seller has. It is important to click on the number to get a more detailed view of the Member Profile and take a look at the actual comments that have been left so that you can get a good impression of how the seller trades.
G. Contact the Seller: if you still have questions about the item, email the seller BEFORE placing a bid. Remember, placing a bid is a bidding agreement - meaning that once you are declared the winning bidder, you cannot later decide that you do not want the item.
