Searching eBay Shops

You can search eBay Shops in the following ways:

Searching for items in eBay Shops

You can search for items from eBay Shop sellers. This is helpful if, for example, you feel more comfortable buying items from eBay sellers who might be more knowledgeable about the item, specialise in the item, or are likely to have a variety of items. The search results appear in list view.

To search for items in eBay Shops:
  1. Click the “Advanced Search” link located at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. On the left side of the page, under Shops, click the “Items in Shops” link.

  3. Enter your search criteria, and select your sort options.

  4. Click the Search button.

Searching for eBay Shops with matching items

You can search for eBay Shops that include matching items. This search is helpful if, for example, you’re trying to find a Shop with the highest number of hats in inventory. Search results include the Shop name, a link to the Shop, a description of the Shop, and the number of matching items within that Shop.

To search for eBay Shops with matching items:
  1. Click the “Advanced Search” link located at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. On the left side of the page, under Shops, click the “Find Shops” link.

  3. Enter your keyword(s), and select the “Shops with matching items” option.

  4. Click the Search button.

Searching for eBay Shops by name

You can search for eBay Shops by name by using either the exact Shop name or a keyword. This search is helpful for finding a particular Shop, whether you remember the exact Shop name or just a portion of it. For example, if you can’t remember an exact Shop name, but you remember that the Shop name included the word hat, you could enter hat as your keyword. All Shops that include the word hat in the Shop name are returned.

If a Shop name is found that is an exact match based on your search, it is returned first. The remaining Shops are sorted alphabetically, by subscription level, with UK Shops listed first, followed by any international Shops. Search results include the Shop name, a link to the Shop, and a description of the Shop.

To search for eBay Shops by name:
  1. Click the “Advanced Search” link located at the top of most eBay pages.

  2. On the left side of the page under Shops, click the “Find Shops” link.

  3. Enter the Shop name or your keyword(s), and select the “Shop name only” option.

  4. Click the Search button.
