Managing Your Account with My eBay

You can manage all the major administrative tasks for your eBay account from the My Account view in My eBay. For example, you can:

Change your personal information (including registration information, email address, and User ID)
Update your mailing addresses
Set your My eBay preferences
Leave, view, and manage feedback
Manage your PayPal account
Pay fees and manage your seller account
Manage subscriptions

Changing your personal information

You can view and update your User ID, password, secret question, About Me page, linked accounts, email address for communications from eBay and other members, and your wireless email address. You can also update the credit card or bank account information you keep on file at eBay to pay your seller fees.

Important: The information you see in My eBay is private. No other eBay member can see it.

To update your personal information in My eBay:

From the left column of My eBay, under the My Account section, click the “Personal Information” link (see arrow A in the screen below).
Click the Edit link next to the information you want to update (see arrow B in the screen below).
Make your changes, and click the Save button.

Updating your mailing addresses

You can update any of the following addresses from My eBay:

Registration address: Your registration address is your main contact address, so it's important to keep it up to date and accurate.
Payment address: Your payment address is where you'd like buyers to send payments for the items you sell. It’s only displayed to winning bidders or buyers if you accept payments by mail, for example, by cheque or money order.
Primary delivery address: Your primary delivery address is where you'd like to receive the items you purchase. Keep in mind the following information about this address:
- You can have multiple delivery addresses on file in your delivery address book.
- Your primary delivery address always appears by default when you pay using the Pay Now button. To set another address as your primary delivery address, click the “Set as Primary Address” link in your delivery address book.
- If you have a PayPal account, you can access your PayPal addresses from your eBay delivery address book by clicking the Add PayPal Addresses button.
  
  Note: This button only appears if you haven’t yet added your PayPal addresses to your shipping address book.

To update your registration address, payment address, or primary delivery address:

From the left column of My eBay, click the “Addresses” link under My Account.
Click the Change link next to the information you want to update.
Edit the information, as needed, and click the Change Registration Information button.
Review and confirm your contact information, and click the Submit button.

Leaving and managing feedback

Managing your PayPal account

From My eBay, you have secure access to your PayPal account information including your account overview, account history, and profile summary. You can view or change your PayPal account information at any time.

To view or change your PayPal account information:

From the left column of My eBay, click the "PayPal Account" link under My Account.
Click on the link next to the item you want to view or change.
Note: You’ll be asked to sign in to PayPal before viewing your PayPal information.

Paying fees and managing your seller account

From My eBay, you can view your current balance, which includes the total of your previous balance, payments, and credits since your last invoice; and fees since your last invoice.

From the left column of My eBay, click the “Seller Account” link under My Account.
Select how you would like to pay your eBay seller fees by setting up automatic payments or making a one-time payment (see B in the screen below).

Managing subscriptions

You can subscribe to any of eBay’s advanced selling tools including:

eBay File Exchange: An advanced selling tool designed for high-volume sellers who want to upload their inventory directly to eBay using a Microsoft® Excel® compatible .csv or tab-delimited file.
eBay Shops: Access to resources for building your own brand on eBay and encouraging buyers to buy more.
Selling Manager and Selling Manager Pro: eBay's Web-based sales management tools designed to help medium- to high-volume sellers manage sales more efficiently.
Sales Reports: Track the key performance metrics that are critical to your business. Sales reports make it easier to make good business decisions by identifying existing areas of growth and opportunities for improvement.
Picture Manager: eBay's fully integrated online picture hosting solution. With Picture Manager, you can save money and attract bidders by adding multiple pictures to your listing without paying an extra fee. You can also choose the level of storage that's right for you (50MB to 300MB).
