About Customer Support

eBay Customer Support is committed to providing the best customer support to all of our members. To achieve this goal, our Customer Support representatives are trained in specific areas and receive ongoing education about the latest eBay website changes. We also survey our members to make sure they're satisfied with our service and to get feedback on where we can make things better.

Contacting Customer Support

If you haven't found the information you're looking for in eBay's Help Centre, our Customer Support team will be happy to help you.

To contact eBay’s Customer Support to ask a question or report an issue:
  1. Click the “Contact Us” link.

  2. On the Contact Us page, select the topic that most closely represents your question or concern, and click the Continue button.

  3. Select the subtopics in each of the boxes, and click the Continue button.

  4. Click the “Email” link.

    The subject line in the Web form is updated with your selections.

  5. Type your question or concern, providing as much detail as you can.

  6. Complete any other requested information.

  7. To send yourself a copy of the email, select the Send a copy to my email address tickbox.

  8. Click the Send button.

    Your email is sent. eBay will usually respond within 24-48 hours.

You can also contact Customer Support in the following ways.

  • Use the "Email Us” link – You'll find this link at the bottom of most Help pages. Use it to send us an email when you have a question about the topic on that Help page.

  • Use the “Contact Us” link – You'll find this link on the left-side of any page in Help. You'll be taken to a page where you can choose the topic of your email. Choosing a topic helps us direct your enquiry to the representatives who can assist you quickly and accurately.

When contacting Customer Support

When contacting Customer Support, keep in mind the following:

  • The more details you provide, the better. Be sure to include dates, item number, User IDs, and any steps you took before asking your question. If you have a question about a transaction, contact your bidder or seller before contacting eBay.

  • We will always respond to you as quickly as possible, usually within 24-48 hours. Our response time can depend on many factors including the number of other emails we received before yours, and how complex your issue is. You can be assured that we are working to answer you as soon as we can.
