Error Messages and Technical Issues

We want you to have a safe and enjoyable experience on eBay. However, sometimes you can receive an error message or encounter technical issues related to your task.

Common error messages

The following table includes some common error messages and information on how to resolve them. For more complex issues, eBay's Customer Support department is always willing to answer your questions.

Error Message	Solution
Unable to process request.	Try your task again. If you still get the message, contact eBay Customer Support.
Please enter your correct information in the highlighted fields below.	Review the page you are on to make sure you entered all of the required information. If you are on the Sell Your Item form and you see a SYI.BIZ error code on the page, note the code and contact eBay Customer Support.
The feature you are attempting to access is not responding.	Wait a few minutes and try to access the feature again. If you’ve waited 15 to 30 minutes and still can’t access the feature, check our Announcement Board to see if the feature is currently unavailable.
Your sign in information is not valid. Please try again.	Do the following: Check that the Autocomplete feature in your browser is not entering the wrong User ID or password. Make sure your Caps Lock key is off. Double-check your User ID and password. If necessary, get your User ID or ask eBay to send you a new password by email. Verify that there are no spaces between the characters of your User ID and password.

Technical issues

What to do if you:

Experience problems signing in into your account.
Want to delete or enable cookies on your browser.
Have problems with Web pages not displaying correctly or interactive features not working. These issues may be solved by using Web browsers recommended by eBay.
