How eBay and PayPal Work Together

eBay Inc. owns PayPal, but in some ways, they remain independent. This means that, while your PayPal and eBay accounts work together, they are still managed separately. In some cases, certain things can only be done at PayPal.com.

This page will help you understand how to use PayPal to buy and sell on eBay. Go here for help if you're having problems logging into PayPal.

To use PayPal when you buy and sell on eBay, there are a few steps you need to take first:

  1. If you want to buy on eBay using PayPal, you'll also need to confirm your address with PayPal.

  2. If you want to sell on eBay and accept PayPal payments, you'll also need to accept PayPal on your eBay listings. You should also consider upgrading your PayPal account. (You'll need to do so if a buyer wants to send you a credit card payment.)

You can also pay your eBay fees on PayPal. You'll find more at the links below.
