Event tickets policy

Most event tickets such as concert, festival, sports, theatre and comedy tickets can't be listed on eBay.

The guidelines below apply to tickets for cinema, experiences or theme parks.

What is the policy?

Restricted

  • Permitted tickets such as cinema, experiences, or theme parks may be sold
  • The face value of a resold ticket must be included in the listing description

Not allowed

  • Concert, festival, sports, theatre and comedy tickets
  • eBay may prohibit tickets to major charity events and events that are free to the public
    • For an event to be covered under this policy, event organisers must apply to eBay at least 1 month in advance of the tickets being made available for sale to the public. Contact us for an application form

Activity on eBay is required to follow this policy, the eBay User Agreement and all applicable laws, as well as respect the rights of third parties. If it doesn’t, eBay may take action consistent with applicable laws and the eBay User Agreement, and may even be legally required to do so. Such actions may include, as an example only: Removing the listing or other content, issuing a warning, restricting activity or account suspension.
