Publishing Contact Information
Publishing the contact information of another eBay member in any online public area is not permitted. If you experience a violation of this policy, please report it using the Customer Support link at the bottom of this page. When reporting, please be sure to send a copy of the post with the subject line.
Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
Limits on account privileges
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Loss of PowerSeller status
You buy art supplies on eBay from “FineArt1234567”. You know that FineArt is the eBay account name used by Jane Smith, and that she lives in Dundee. If you post a comment in an online discussion group revealing that Jane Smith’s trades under the name FineArt123456, this is a breach of eBay’s policy on publishing contact information.

Why does eBay have this policy?
Privacy is a building block of eBay. When a member registers an eBay account name, they expect that their personal information will be kept private. For that reason, publishing contact information related to an eBay member is not permitted.
