Why didn't you respond when I reported someone I thought was breaking the rules?

We will always respond with an automatic message letting you know that we have received and will investigate your report.

Due to privacy laws however, we can't follow up and let you know the status of your report or inform you of any action we might have taken. Please be assured that we have teams researching these reports, and review reports on a case-by-case basis. We take many factors into account when deciding what action, if any, to take.

We appreciate the continued support of the eBay community in making eBay a safe place to buy and sell, and we encourage you to continue to report activity you feel may break our rules.
