Note: This page details an eBay policy. For help with this policy, please see the related links at the bottom of this page.
Trying to avoid suspension or restriction by using another existing account or registering a new account, is not permitted. A suspension on eBay may be for a fixed length of time, indefinite or permanent and remains in effect until removed by eBay.
Breaches of this policy may result in a range of actions, including:
Limits on account privileges
Permanent Account suspension
Forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings
Loss of PowerSeller status
If you believe another member has breached this policy, please report them to us. For privacy and security reasons, eBay will not share the results of their investigation with you.
Note: Members are permitted to hold multiple accounts. They only breach this policy if they continue to trade on eBay after one or more of their accounts has been suspended or restricted.
Due to a breach of eBay policy your account was suspended or restricted indefinitely. You then registered a new account with eBay. Registering that new account is a breach of this policy.
One of your two eBay accounts was suspended or restricted due to breach of eBay policy. You then switched all activity on eBay to your second account. Using that second account during your suspension or restriction is a breach of this policy.
Why does eBay have this policy?
This policy helps protect the eBay community from individuals who are not responsible members. When eBay suspends or restricts the account of a member, this applies to the individual not just a specific account.
