Finding eBay Members
If you’re trying to decide who you want to do business with, or you’re just trying to connect with another eBay member, you can search for the member by their user ID or email address. If you’re involved in a current or recent transaction with a member, you can request the member’s contact information.
Searching for an eBay member
You can search for an eBay member and we’ll display the member’s Feedback score, eBay Shop (if available), and a link to their items for sale. To send the member a message, click the member’s Feedback score and then click the “Contact member” link.
To search for a member:
Click the “Advanced Search” link located at the top of most eBay pages.
Under the Members section, click Find a member.
Enter the member’s user ID or email address.
If you’re not sure of the exact user ID, enter your closest guess. Your search results will include close matches.
Enter the verification code that displays in an image.
Note: For privacy reasons, if you enter an email address, we’ll provide only limited information unless you’ve completed a transaction with the member in the last 60 days. If you haven’t completed a transaction with the member, we’ll confirm that the email address you entered belongs to an eBay member, and display that member's Feedback score.
Requesting a member’s contact information
If you’re involved in a current or recent transaction with another member, and you haven’t been able to reach the member through email, you can request the member’s contact information.
To request a member’s contact information:
Click the “Advanced Search” link at the top of most eBay pages.
Under the Members section on the left side of the page, click Find contact information.
Enter the user ID of the member and the number of the item you have in common.
If you requested contact information and it’s not valid, please review our contact information policy to make a report. Remember to keep your contact information up-to-date.
