Personalise messages to your buyers by using auto text in your email templates to automatically insert the buyer's name or the item URL, or other variable text into the message body. The drop-down Auto text menu displays a list of variables that you can use to customise your buyer email.
To insert auto text:
From the Sold View, or Archived View click on a buyer's email address to access the Email Buyer page.
Click the "edit template" link, and from the Template list, select the template you want to customise using auto text.
Place your cursor where you want to insert the auto text entry.
From the auto text drop-down list, select variable you want to insert.
Click the Insert button. The auto text should be diplayed at the bottom of the message enclosed in {curly brackets}.
When you send the email or save the template, the {auto text} will be replaced by the individual buyer's name or item number or whichever auto text variable that you chose.
Troubleshooting
If the Auto text
drop-down list is not displayed in your Web browser, you can copy and paste the {Auto text} variables from the list below:
