Using Counters for Your Listings

A free tool that counts visits to your listing

If you place an eBay counter in your listing, you'll always know the number of times it has been viewed by visitors. A counter can help you determine how interested buyers are in your item.

Here's a sample counter from a page viewed 359 times:

eBay counters:

  • Are available in three styles: basic, retro-computer and hidden.

  • Appear at the bottom of your listing page

  • Can be hidden from visitors

  • Are free of charge

More about hidden counters

  • Visitors to your listing don't see the number of visits.

  • The number count is visible to you when you are signed in as the seller.

  • In place of a counter, visitors see this graphic on your listing page:

Adding eBay counters

To add a counter to your listing, select the counter you'd like in the Visitor counter section of the Sell Your Item form.
