When you list an item on eBay in the Auction or Buy It Now formats, you are charged:

• an Insertion Fee based on the item starting price or reserve price.

• Feature Fees, if you select optional features to increase your chances of selling successfully when listing the item

If the item sells, you also pay a Final Value Fee based on the item final selling price.

The total cost of selling the item is the Insertion Fee, the Feature fees (if any) plus the Final Value Fee.

For example:

If you list an item as an auction with a starting price of £0.99 and select the gallery option, you will pay £0.25 to list your item:

• Insertion Fee: £0.10

• Optional Feature Fee (Gallery): £0.15

• Total: £0.25

When you sell your item, you will pay a maximum of 7.5% of the item final selling price as the Final Value Fee. If the item does not sell, there is no Final Value Fee.

If you sell books, CDs or DVDs, the insertion fee starts at £0.05 and the Final Value Fee is 9% of the final selling price if the item sells.

Note: Stated eBay fees include 15% VAT for residents of the EU. This is calculated at the Luxembourg rate of VAT. Find out why. Usually invoices sent to you will quote fees with VAT included.

The Insertion Fee for Multiple Item (Dutch) and Fixed Price listings is based on the opening value of your items. The opening value is the starting price or the fixed price multiplied by the quantity of items. If this sum is above £100.00 the maximum insertion fee for such Multiple Item listings is £1.90.

The Final Value Fee for a Multiple Item (Dutch) Auction, is determined by taking the Final Value Fee of the lowest successful bid and multiplying it by the number of items sold. Multiple Item Fixed Price listing is calculated per item sold, based on the final selling price of the item.

For multiple-item Auction-style format listings with a starting price of £0.99 or less, the total Insertion Fee is £0.05, no matter how many items are included in the listing.

For multiple-item Auction-style format listings with a starting price of £1.00 or above and for all multiple-item Buy It Now format listings, the total Insertion Fee depends on the number of items in the listing (see table below):

PowerSellers and Business sellers who maintain high detailed seller ratings may qualify for discounts on Final Value Fees.

Property

• Insertion Fee: £35.00 fixed

For Multiple Buy It Now-Only items, the insertion fee for Property is calculated by multiplying £35.00 with the quantity of items listed.

• Reserve Price Fee: £2.00 fixed

• There is no Final Value Fee charge for Property listings.

The Insertion Fee for a Classified Ad format listing is £6.00 fixed. There are no final value fees associated with this listing format.

A Note About eBay Fees

• In the event your seller account is suspended for any reason, any amounts due on your Seller account will immediately become due and payable. eBay reserves the right to immediately charge any amounts you have not previously disputed to the billing method that you are using.

• Fees pay for the right to sell on eBay. There are times when your listing may not appear when using a keyword or category search until several hours after you have created it. Therefore, eBay cannot guarantee exact listing durations.Sellers do not purchase exclusive rights to Web pages on eBay. We may, in our sole discretion, and without your consent or payment to you, place third-party advertisements on any Web page within our site.

• Insertion fees and optional feature fees are charged at the time of listing and are non-refundable.

• eBay requires payment in full each month on accounts with balances of £1.00 or greater. eBay may suspend your account for non-payment of eBay fees. If you have not paid your outstanding eBay fees after our reminders and warnings, eBay reserves the right to refer your account to an outside collection agency for collection of the outstanding eBay fees. Please note that the collection agency will also charge you a proportionate and reasonable fee for the collection of the unpaid eBay fees, which will vary according to the amount owed and which will be payable in addition to the outstanding eBay fees.
