What's the difference between a product and a listing?

A product is a mini-folder containing all the different ways you want to list your items. Selling Manager Pro has the ability to store information about both products and associated listing templates.

For example, if you have a supply of identical green coffee mugs you would like to list, the "product" in Selling Manager Pro would be green coffee mugs. You want to list some of them at a regular auction, but you also want to list some of the mugs in your Shop. You need to create two separate types of listings, and because you know you will be listing these again, you can create two listing templates to save time. You can think of Selling Manager Pro templates as a "reusable listing". In fact, you create templates the same way you create a listing.

The difference is that they are always associated with a product (your green coffee mugs).

You can also use Selling Manager Pro to automatically track your inventory quantity, as well as automatically re-list a product if it doesn't sell.
