Is my item allowed on eBay?

Certain items may not be sold on eBay for legal reasons. We may end a listing early if it breaches one of our stated policies. We'll notify the seller and bidders by email if we end a listing. If we end a listing after someone has won it, the winning bidder is no longer obliged to send payment for the item.

Can I list my item?

  • Please review the list of Prohibited and Restricted items to find out if you can list your item on eBay.

  • You should also review eBay’s listing policies to find out how an item may be listed and described. We may remove an item if it breaches one of our listing policies, even if the item itself doesn't breach our prohibited and restricted items policy.

Note: Offering a prohibited, questionable or infringing item for free (rather than selling it) does not absolve you of potential liability. Buyers may also be subject to liability for purchasing prohibited or restricted items.
