eBay Top-rated seller grace period

Increased stability for eBay Top-rated sellers

In October 2011, we introduced greater stability for eBay Top-rated sellers. Sellers will have a grace period to bring their performance back up to eBay Top-rated seller standard without losing their status and benefits if they fall to Above Standard.

Eligibility

To qualify for the increased stability of a grace period, eBay Top-rated sellers must:

  • have been an eBay Top-rated seller for a minimum of consecutive 3 months immediately preceding the evaluation

  • meet the requirements for Above Standard sellers and maintain PowerSeller status

Grace periods

If your seller performance is based on transactions over the past 3 months, you will receive up to 2 months grace period. If it’s based on transactions over the past 12 months, you will receive up to 4 months. If you are evaluated as below Above Standard during your grace period, the grace period will end immediately.

Sellers who don’t meet the requirements for eBay Top-rated seller status after the grace period has expired will lose their eBay Top-rated seller status and benefits.
