Listing in 2 Categories

Does your silk shirt go into the Clothing Petite Size category, or in the Evening wear category? Should your grandmother's necklace go into Antiques or Jewellery? Debate no more, as Listing in 2 Categories is coming soon!

We have just launched a new feature - List in 2 Categories. As a seller, when you list an item for sale, you can choose to list your item in an additional category for double the usual listing fee.

more features

After you select this option and your top level category, you will see another page where you may choose the subcategory.

Where will I see my item?
If you list in 2 categories, you will see your item when browsing or searching within those categories. For instance, if you listed your item in Antiques and Jewellery, users would find your listing when searching/browsing within those categories.

How much does it cost?
The cost to list in this category is double the listing fee (excluding Scheduled Listings and Home Page Featured). Final value fees will not be affected. For instance, if a £3 item is listed with the gallery feature, the cost to list will be £0.60. To calculate the fee, take the total fee (£0.15 for insertion fee + £0.15 for gallery fee) and double this fee to get £0.60.

Who can use it?
Sellers can list in any 2 categories across the site except for the following:

  • Dutch listings - List in 2 categories is not available for dutch items. If you have multiple items for sale, we recommend that you split your items and list the two lots in different categories.
As always, please make sure you list your item in the appropriate categories. If we receive any complaints, we will investigate and move the item, if necessary.

Where do I find it?
You can find List in 2 Categories from the Sell Your Item form.
