1. What is the "Free eBay Payment Fees" promotion?
This promotion is open to eBay sellers who are currently registered with eBay Payments provided by Billpoint and those who register during the promotion and use the service to accept credit cards and debit cards for their sales. In short, during the promotion, when a winning buyer pays for the item with eBay Payments, all Billpoint commission-fees will be waived for that transaction.

2. Who can participate?
This Promotion is open to UK registered eBay sellers listing items in pound sterling on the eBay UK site. The item must be listed and the transaction completed using eBay Payments provided by Billpoint as a payment option.

3. Why should I use eBay Payments?
eBay Payments provided by Billpoint is a fast, safe and simple way of accepting credit and debit card payments from your buyers at home and abroad. With eBay Payments you can eliminate waiting for cheques in the post and trudging to the bank to pay them in. With eBay Payments provided by Billpoint buyers pay you online with their debit or credit cards and the money is automatically paid into your bank account. Whether your buyer is in Kettering or Kuala Lumpur eBay Payments provided by Billpoint takes the sting out of international trading by ensuring you receive your payment quickly and in pounds sterling.

4. What cards can buyers use via eBay Payments?
eBay Payments provided by Billpoint can accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards and Switch and Solo debit cards. This means that virtually every potential buyer can pay you via eBay Payments provided by Billpoint. By offering the payment option with eBay Payments, you are providing a safe and convenient payment option for your buyers and a faster and easier way for you to manage your transactions. In the UK 98% of people with bank accounts have either a Switch or Solo card making eBay Payments provided by Billpoint accessible to the vast majority of British eBay buyers.

5. Is this offer available if my buyer is based overseas?
Yes. Even if your buyer is based overseas you will be refunded your eBay Payments fees as long as the transaction fulfils the criteria. In fact, eBay Payments is one of the easiest ways of receiving payments from overseas.

6. Is the offer available if I didn't list my item using eBay Payments but send an invoice after the sale has ended?
No. To be eligible for this offer you must select the eBay Payments option on the UK Sell Your Item Form when you list your item for sale.

7. Does this offer affect the usual eBay Listing Fees and Final Value Fees?
No. All the usual eBay fees are still payable.

8. When does the promotion end?
The promotion is effective from 08:00:01am BST May 20 until 07:59:59am BST July 1st, 2002. Only transactions completed by the buyer (for example: the seller is paid in full via eBay Payments provided by Billpoint) by the close of the promotion on July 1st will qualify for free fees. Any auctions closing by the end date where payment is not completed in full will not qualify.

9. I regularly sell on the UK site in Pounds sterling but I am not resident in the UK, can I take advantage of this promotion?
Unfortunately not. This promotion is open to UK registered eBay sellers listing items in pound sterling on the eBay UK site. The item must also be listed selecting eBay Payments as a payment option.

10. Will all commission fees be waived immediately on all eBay Payments transactions?
No. For the duration of the promotion sellers will be charged their normal fees for completing their transactions through eBay Payments provided by Billpoint. However, once the promotion period has closed, all commission fees incurred for the period of the promotion will be credited back to the sellers Billpoint Account no later than July 15, 2002. An email will be sent to the seller confirming that their account has been credited.

PLEASE NOTE: Sellers listing their items using the new Buy It Now format may encounter some difficulties completing their transactions through eBay Payments provided by Billpoint. These issues will be resolved on 30/5/02.
