If you want to sell primarilly to an international market, you may want to list your item in US Dollars on ebay.com. However, Americans are adept at buying in Sterling. Don't forget too that you can list on any other eBay site in the local currency. Keep in mind that users on all eBay sites can still find your item when they "search".
If you want to sell to a world-wide market, let buyers know you will ship to them. Check "Will Post Internationally" in the Postage Terms of your item description. If you do not want to ship outside of your country, do not check this box. (More information on Postage)
By giving potential buyers a variety of options for payment, it is easier for buyers to purchase from you. You can also tell them if you accept payments in multiple currencies. (More information on Payment Options and Currency) Many buyers are concerned about exactly how international postage works and how much it will cost. If possible, let users know who is responsible for shipping costs, and how much it might cost to different parts of the world.
Tell your international buyers if they are responsible for any other transaction costs, such as insurance or escrow. |
