How Does eBay Rank Reviewers?

eBay ranks reviewers based on the number and quality of helpfulness votes received. For example, your ranking will be made up of all your positive and negative helpfulness votes you receive from other members.

Top reviews are shown at the top of product review pages. Here are the top levels:

  • Top 1: Highest reviewer ranking. Only given to one reviewer with the highest Reviews & Guides ranking.
  • Top 25
  • Top 100
  • Top 1000
  • Top 5000
  • Top 10,000

eBay also recognizes individuals who accumulate more than 100 helpfulness votes by displaying a pencil and paper icon () next to your name.

All rankings are updated periodically.
