How do sellers respond to a Want It Now post?

After you have gone to the Want It Now Home page, and found a Want It Now post to respond to, click on the Respond button at the top of the post.

If you have not listed the item yet:
  1. Click the Sell Your Item button to start listing your item.

  2. Complete your listing.

  3. When you finish listing your item, return to the page you bookmarked in Step 1 and enter the item number of your new listing.

If you have already listed the item:
  1. Click the "Items you're selling" link.

  2. Note the item number for the item you want the buyer to see.

  3. Enter the number in the item number box and click the Respond to Post button.

The buyer will then receive an email with information about your item.

Tips:

  • If you don't want to type the same search repeatedly, save a Want It Now Favourite Search and eBay will send matching Want It Now posts to you.

  • If you see an item on eBay that meets the buyer's request, you can respond with the listing, even if you're not the seller.
