How Buyers See Your Shop Inventory Listings

Visibility of Shop Inventory listings

When members are searching Shop, your Shop Inventory listings appear together with Auction-style and Fixed Price listing formats in the following areas:

  • eBay Shops search results

  • Your eBay Shop

  • Seller’s Other Items (accessed by clicking the "View seller's other items" link on any item listing page)

Shop Inventory listings also appear at the end of search results, after all matching Auction-style and Fixed Price listings in the following areas:

  • Regular eBay search and browse results when 30 or fewer Online Auction and Fixed Price listings appear

  • Product Details (Catalogue) pages (when seller uses Pre-filled Item Information)

  • Or if you select the "All items including Shop Inventory items" or "Shop Inventory items only" in the Search Options box. This allows members to browse pages and see all Shop Inventory listings below the Auction-style and Fixed Price items.

Tip: The most effective way to bring buyers to your Shop Inventory items is to list some of your items using the Auction-style or Fixed Price format, which receive more prominent placement in regular eBay searches and categories. Within these listings, describe your Shop and include links to your Shop's home page, Shop categories, or Shop Inventory items.

Tip: Add a listing template to your Shop's listings to make your Shop more visible inth View Item pages. The listing template will add your Shop's header with your logo and links to customised pages, as well as your Shop categories, so buyers can find your other items.

Listing upgrades with Shop Inventory format

You can purchase listing upgrades for Shop Inventory format listings—such as Gallery, Subtitle, Border, Highlight, Bold, Featured Plus!, and Listing Designer—to increase your item’s visibility. These upgrades appear during specific instances on eBay including in your eBay Shop, in Shop search results, and on the Sellers Other Items page.

However, under special conditions, buyers may discover your Store Inventory items through eBay's main search results:

  • When eBay's main search returns more than 30 Online Auction and/or Fixed Price items, a link to Shop Inventory items matching the buyer's search is shown at the bottom of each search result page.

  • When eBay's main search returns 30 or fewer Online Auction and/or Fixed Price items, a Shop search results box will appear which displays up to 30 matching items in Shop Inventory format, along with a link to all Shop Inventory items matching the search

  • When eBay's main search returns 0 Online Auction or Fixed Price items, then up to 30 Shop Inventory items will be presented with Gallery images.

  • Shop Inventory items can also appear on Product Details (Catalog) pages following the same rules

Including Shop Inventory items under these special conditions has benefits for all buyers and sellers. Showing additional matching items, especially when there are few matches in the regular results, helps buyers enjoy successful experiences on eBay.
