How many Nectar points can I collect on eBay?

Once your accounts are linked, you can collect one Nectar point per £1 you spend on an eligible item up to a maximum of 5,000 points, when you check out using PayPal.

If you spend an amount ending with £xx.99 this will be rounded up for the purposes of collecting Nectar points. Anything less will be rounded down. For example, if you spend £29.99 on an item, you'll receive 30 Nectar points. If you spend £29.95, you'll receive 29 Nectar points.

The number of points you collect is determined by the final amount paid for the item, excluding any add-ons or postage costs. Warranties or any other services not included in the advertised purchase price are considered add-ons.

  • In an auction-style listing, you'll receive points based on the winning bid price. So if the winning bid is £36, you'll receive 36 Nectar points.
  • For a Buy it now listing, you'll receive points for the fixed price. So if the Buy it now price is £30, you'll receive 30 Nectar points.
  • If you make a Best Offer, you'll receive points based on the price you agree with the seller. So if the Buy it now price is £30, but the seller accepts your Best Offer of £24, you'll receive 24 Nectar points.
  • For products and services that offer a variety of options, such as different quantities or sizes, the number of points shown on the item listing page indicates the minimum number of points you could collect based on the cheapest item listed on that page. However, the points you'll receive will be calculated based on the final selling price for the item you choose to buy. For example, if a listing has a variety of towels for sale with hand towels being the cheapest available priced at £3 and bath towels priced at £10, the number of points shown on the listing will be 3. However, the points you'll receive will be calculated based on the final selling price for the item you choose to buy. So, if you chose to buy the £10 bath towel, you'll receive 10 points.
  • Refunds: If you're given a full or partial refund for a purchase on which you collected points, the Nectar points for that purchase or part of the purchase will be deducted from your Nectar account. For example, if a purchase is made for £30 and the full amount is refunded, then the 30 previously awarded points will be deducted from your Nectar account and the transaction will show 0 points. But if a purchase is made for £30 and a partial refund is issued for £12, only 12 points will be deducted and the transaction will still show 18 points.
