What happened with search over the weekend?
Between Saturday, 21 November from 5:45 pm to Sunday, 22 November at 8 am GMT. eBay experienced technical issues. This resulted in title searches returning limited or no results. Once this problem was repaired, eBay kept some secondary search features temporarily offline for the rest of the day on 22 November. This was done to ensure the stability of the main search functionality. These features have since been fully restored.
What is eBay doing for affected buyers?
Customers who had an Auction-style purchase affected as a result of the search outage are being given a discount coupon toward their next eBay purchase. Please be aware the problems were in no way the fault of the seller
When will I get my coupon?
We are working to issue these coupons as quickly as possible. Distribution should begin on Tuesday, 24 November and be complete for all buyers by Friday, 27 November.
Why is eBay only sending coupons to buyers who bought Auction-style items?
We believe you may have been most directly affected by the outage since you were engaged in the bidding process when the outage occurred.
To make up for this inconvenience, we will be sending any affected buyers a voucher toward their next eBay purchase.
