Government Relations means eBay's relationship with Government, public bodies and agencies. This includes relationships with the Government and Parliamentarians, but also includes trade associations and consumer groups.
For eBay.co.uk and eBay.ie these bodies and individuals may be working within the Westminster Parliament, the Irish Parliament, the European Union, the Welsh Assembly, the Scottish Parliament or at local authority level.
We have relationships with this range of bodies because the laws and regulations which impact upon eBay and the community are administered by a range of different bodies. |
|

They may be involved in drafting legislation or regulations which will have an impact upon the community or how eBay itself works. We can often help by providing information about how the site so as to help resolve issues which may arise and ensure that policy decisions are based upon accurate information.
Parliamentarians often need help in resolving concerns which have been brought to them by constituents - we can look into these matters and consider some of the broader issues which these may highlight.
