Offer PayPal as a payment option for items listed on eBay.co.uk on Thursday 17th June 2004, and you will be credited for the eBay basic insertion fees. Terms and conditions apply.
This promotion is open to any seller in good standing with both PayPal and eBay. To qualify for the promotion, sellers must
list on eBay.co.uk between 00:00:01 BST and 23:59:59 BST on Thursday 17th June 2004
and
select PayPal as an accepted payment method, whether listed through the Sell Your Item (SYI) form or a bulk listing tool such as Turbo Lister or Selling Manager

Please note that the transaction does not have to be completed with PayPal in order to qualify.

Listing with PayPal couldn't be easier - simply follow these two steps:

It's easy to sign up - all you need is a debit or credit card to start using PayPal immediately. Just go to
https://www.paypal.co.uk to get started.

When listing in eBay's Sell Your Item form, select PayPal as a payment option under section 4 - "payments and postage". Follow these steps:

Go to the "Seller - Accepted Payment Methods" section.
Tick the box under the PayPal logo and enter the email address registered with your PayPal account in the "payment will
      go to" box.
Go to the bottom of the "Seller - Accepted Payment Methods" section and click "Edit Payment Address and Preferences".
Log in to your account again to view the "Payment Preferences" page.
Under "PayPal Preferences", there are two tickboxes:
"Offer PayPal on all my listings"
"Tell my buyers that I prefer PayPal payments"
Tips: You may tick both options. The selected message(s) will appear automatically in all your listings
Click Submit and continue with the Sell Your Item form.

Register for a Seller account: You will be asked to provide debit or credit card and bank account details - this is for
      verification purposes. Sign up now.
Register for PayPal: If you haven't done so already sign up now. This will make it easier when you come to list your item
      with PayPal
List Your Item: Clicking on the Sell link in the top navigation bar in eBay.co.uk will bring you to the Sell Your Item form. To
take advantage of this promotion, make sure you list with PayPal. (See How do I offer PayPal as a Payment Method? to
find out how to do this)

Only the insertion fee will be free. All other eBay fees, including but not limited to feature fees such as Gallery, Bold, Reserve Price, Featured, Buy it Now or Final Value fees will still apply, as do PayPal fees.
All items listed for sale in Pounds Sterling (GBP) on eBay.co.uk are included (except for those items or listings excluded below).
Auction, Auction with Buy It Now, Buy It Now Only and Dutch Auctions (multiple items) listing formats are included, as are items listed in Shops
Previously-scheduled listings that go live on Thursday 17th June 2004
If a seller chooses to create the listing using a second category option (the maximum is two categories), the item will qualify for the pricing promotion and the insertion fee will still be free providing all other qualification criteria are met (see What's Excluded? Below).

Shops inventory format items are excluded
Items listed in Properties and certain Automotive categories (Cars, Classic Cars, Motorcycles and Other Vehicles) are excluded
Duplicate and wrong category listings will be removed if they contravene existing eBay Listing Policies.
If a listing is created in 2 categories it will qualify for the pricing promotion unless one or both of the categories are in the excluded list
Scheduled listings that are submitted but not scheduled to go live on Thursday 17th June 2004 will not be eligible for credit.
Listings will not qualify unless PayPal has been selected as an accepted payment method, even if the item title, subtitle, description or any other item field indicate that PayPal is accepted

You will be charged your basic listing fee as usual during the course of the promotion.
For each listing that satisfies all of the eligibility requirements, you will receive a basic listing fee credit from eBay. The credit(s) will be received into your eBay account(s) no later than Saturday 31st July 2004.
Each credit will be reflected in the following eBay invoice, where it will appear under the credit type "17 June PayPal Promo Credit".
Even though you may be eligible to receive the listing fee credits, you are still responsible for paying your current eBay invoice amount in full. Your Free Listing Day listing fee credits will be applied to your account by Saturday 31st July 2004.

Items that qualify for this pricing promotion but then close without successful sale may qualify for a relist credit if the seller relists the item and it subsequently closes with a sale, in line with eBay's standard relist policy.
