eBay Free Listing Day - FAQs

What is the eBay Free Listing Day promotion?
The promotion allows sellers to get credit for basic eBay listing fees when they list on Thursday 6 November 2003, between 00:00:01 BST and 23:59:59 BST, with listings having a starting price of between £0.01 and £0.99 Pounds Sterling (GBP) and a reserve price (if used) of £0.99 or less.

Who can participate?
Any seller in good standing with eBay who lists on eBay.co.uk on 6 November 2003 for with a starting price of between £0.01 and £0.99 and a reserve (if you decide to have one) of £0.99 or less can participate in this promotion.

Which fees will be credited?
Only basic eBay listing fees will be credited. All other eBay fees including optional feature fees such as Gallery, Bold, Reserve Price, Featured, Buy It Now, or Final Value fees still apply. PayPal fees also still apply where applicable.

How will I know the fees are free on the SYI form?
If your listing is eligible, the price will automatically be marked to zero on the form.

Are scheduled listings included in the promotion?
Yes, previously scheduled listings that go live on 6 November 2003 are eligible for basic listing fee credits as long as the start price is between £0.01 and £0.99 with a reserve (if used) of £0.99 or less. Scheduled listings that are submitted but not scheduled to go live on 6 November 2003 will NOT be eligible. The feature fee for scheduled listing is NOT included in this promotion.

Which fees are credited if I list an item in more than one category?
As long as all your listings go live on 6 November 2003, between 00:00:01 BST and 23:59:59 BST, each of your basic listing fees will be credited, no matter how many categories your item is listed in.

Are all items included?
All items listed for sale on eBay.co.uk are included except any items listed in the Motors or Real Estate categories.

Are Dutch Auctions (Multiple Item Auctions) included?
No - the total listing price of all items offered in one listing must have a starting price of between £0.01 and £0.99.

Is the promotion only for Auction-style listings or can I also take advantage of the promotion using Auction-with Buy It Now (BIN) and BIN-only listings?
You can list in any of these formats as long as your listing has a starting price of between £0.01 and £0.99 and has a reserve (if used) of £0.99 or less.

Are eBay Shops listings included in the promotion? Will I receive listing fee credits if I list with Turbo Lister, Selling Manager, or other bulk listing tools?
Yes.

I don't live in the UK. Can I still participate in this promotion?
Yes, as long as you list on eBay.co.uk and satisfy the other promotion terms, you can participate in this promotion.
